There have been quite a few trees come down at the MTB park with the recent wild weather. Our trail fairies are working as quickly as they can to clear them, but it’s taking a while.

At this stage, the GREEN LOOP is clear, but MORE MOJO, RUSTY STUFF, & GOANNA TRACK are blocked by fallen timber so please take care if riding those trails 👍

We enjoyed a big turn up for our club Christmas ri

We enjoyed a big turn up for our club Christmas ride this year, with over 40 members heading out on the ride to the Stanley Pub. We were stoked to see a great mix of long-standing members alongside some of our newest, we even had a couple of little babes in a trailer along for the ride! Especially great to see 15 of the Granite Girls come along to show off their freshly-arrived jerseys. Merry Christmas & happy trails to all! 🤘🚵😎

A really big thanks to everyone who came to our Flame trees working bee last weekend, we had a great turn out and managed to get heaps of much needed maintenance done which will hopefully keep this trail open and riding well over summer.

We are having a working bee at the Flame Trees tra

We are having a working bee at the Flame Trees trail this Sunday 28th November from 9am - 12pm. The works required are generally pretty minor, mostly grass cutting and pruning of overhanging branches. The trail hasn't had any love for a while and needs a bit of a tidy up before summer. The first segment in the trees on both sides needs whipper snipping and the remainder of the down trail needs a bit of raking and small branches pruned where they overhang the trail, plus a bit of pruning on the up trail too.

If you can, bring some secateurs / pruners or a whipper snipper, come for just an hour or the whole 3hrs. Meet at the first bridge over Diffey Rd after the start of flame trees (end of the first segment in the trees).

Yesterday our club volunteers ran the second (of 6

Yesterday our club volunteers ran the second (of 6!) Granite Girls Women's MTB sessions. With over 80 women participating in each of the two sessions held so far, it's been an organisational feat to manage 9 groups of women across two locations & two time slots to keep things COVID safe & compliant!

The smiles on faces, high energy and amazing feedback from the participants makes it all well worthwhile. Look out world, there is a BIG gang of confident, skilled MTB women on the way!

Skills coaching at the MTB park was delivered by the fantastic @thefastlinebikademy team of Indi & Goele, and the social rides at Flame Trees with on-trail tips & demos were handled by our qualified volunteer instructors.

This root ball pulled up a few rocks about 2/3s of the way down Secret Track. We repacked it but it will take a few passes to bed in properly.

Fingers crossed we can congregate at the temple of mud for our rescheduled Cyclocross De Beechworth, now to be held on Sunday August 15. @bridgeroadbrewers have also rescheduled the Tour De Beechworth for Saturday 14th, so we can once again look forward to a plentiful weekend of cycling in beautiful Beechworth 🤞😎
